The 3M Open is #GolfThatMatters. The 3M Open is a mechanism to give back to our community and demonstrate the many unexpected ways we can improve lives while showcasing the world's greatest golfers.

 

3M Open Fund

The 3M Open Fund, based in Minnesota, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation created when the tournament was founded by 3M and the PGA TOUR in 2019. Since its’ inception, the 3M Open Fund has contributed $9 million to the community, positively impacting more than 1.25 million youth and young adults.

 

The 3M Open serves as the principal fundraiser for the organization’s efforts to support local and regional charitable organizations. The foundation’s mission aligns with 3M’s commitment to improve lives in communities where we live, work, and learn.

 

Through Birdies for Charity, 3M Open Fund has continued goals of:

• Increasing charitable contributions in the Twin Cities community derived from the 3M Open

• Expanding the number of charities benefitting from the tournament

• Reaching a broader cross-section of the community

About the 3M Open Fund Bonus Pool

The 3M Open Fund Bonus Pool is how the charitable match is provided by the 3M Open Fund to participating non-profit organizations in the Birdies for Charity program. Organizations receive 100% of every donor contribution, plus a percentage-based match from the Bonus Pool based on their fundraising efforts, helping maximize the impact of each donation.
